Shamrock Shuffle 2 mile Road Race

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL 1,168 FINISHERS OF THE INAUGURAL MANCHESTER SHAMROCK SHUFFLE! The 2 mile road race was won by Brian Harvey (9:06.5) and Laura Kennedy (10:45.2). I'm not sure of his official time, but WMUR's Jamie Staton, the charming host for Miss New Hampshire (call the Miss NH Office at 603/427-9027 to get your tickets!) was lightening fast too.

A huge THANK YOU to the always amazing Andy Schachat. I had a blast holding the Finish Line for Brian. After the race, the legendary Manchester St. Patrick's Day Parade stepped off starring my favorite little leprechaun: Lauren Percy, Miss New Hampshire's Outstanding Teen!

Much love and luck of the Irish to all, Kamilah

Mix 104.1 Cares for Kids Radiothon

Lauren and I had the most wonderful time at the Mix 104.1 Cares for Kids Radiothon. It was such an incredible feeling to be there with the volunteers and people raising money for these unbelievably strong and courageous families caring for their children.

My heart and soul were touched by the children's stories and the struggles their families go through while supporting their loved ones through life saving medical treatments. Many families depend on the help of Children's Hospital Boston and financial donations from fundraising events like Radiothon and National Pancake Day.

We were so lucky to talk to a very strong young man named David who has been going to the hospital for almost 2 years now. He and his sister are both very sick and alternate treatments at the Hospital. He was the sweetest boy and he had the most beautiful smile!
Thank you to all of the hard working guests and volunteers who helped raise $635,000 this year. And thank you to everyone who has ever donated, you have helped raise more than $3 million dollars over the past 7 years!
With Love and Support, Kamilah and Lauren

IHOP National Pancake Day

Spending the morning (from 7a - 1p) with Manager Tony and the IHOP Team in Bedford celebrating National Pancake Day to benefit the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
Did you know that the operating rooms at Children's Hospital Boston are used 24 hours a day, seven days a week? Round-the-clock work results in 24,000 surgeries a year.
Please visit IHOP today for your free short stack of delicious pancakes. IHOP's National Pancake Day raised $2.1M in 2010 and with your help we are hoping to raise $2.3 million this year for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
