First Day in Vegas

My Miss America experience started at the airport at 4:30 am this morning where I hopped a plane and headed to fabulous Las Vegas! When arriving at the hotel we received our room keys and who was on them? None other than the beautiful Kristen Haglund, the current Miss America!

My next stop was of course the Miss America Trade Show. Imagine hundreds of beautiful gowns including a new line by Miss America 2000, Heather French. I think its safe to say I will be making a few more trips to the Trade Show!

After a little rest it was time to go cheer on Natalie Shaw as she competed in Onstage Question where she spoke about her platform with poise and intelligence. I'm sure she blew the judges away! The night ended with a short visit with Natalie and some of the Miss New Hampshire family. Now stay tuned for more updates... tomorrow Natalie competes in Swimsuit and Evening Gown. Go Natalie!

Miss America Week!

It was a snowy trip to the Miss New Hampshire Tea Party but a great day! There were dozens of DELICIOUS desserts to enjoy while watching some of the incredibly talented women of the Miss New Hampshire Organization. It was also so great to talk and dance with some special guests like Emilee and Brooke Mills (Emilee a former little sister queen of mine!).

I'm off to Las Vegas tomorrow morning at 5am so be sure to stay tuned for Miss America LIVE updates!

Happy New Year!

Miss Strafford County's Outstanding Teen and Miss Strafford County Pre-Teen served at the Dancers Making A Difference event on November 8, 2008 at the Adams Memorial Opera House in Derry. Aimee, Shawna, and dancers from Dance Progressions in Londonderry performed in the 7th Annual Event. The proceeds benefited the FBBC Food Pantry. Aimee and Shawna also helped fundraise by selling raffle tickets and chocolate bouquets. Christmas Dreams

I love the Holidays and I love parades! I spent Sunday in the Lilac City for the Rochester "Christmas Dreams" Parade. Thank you to John Demers and the team at MidWay Buick Pontiac GMC for the beautiful convertible http://www.midwaymotorcars.com/ and the Rochester Chamber of Commerce for the warm hospitality on a snowy afternoon.

Vintage Christmas

What a beautiful night! I joined floats, bands, Smarty (the Service Credit Union Penguin http://www.servicecu.org/), snowmen, angels, elves, New Hampshire National Teenager royalty and of course, Santa for Vintage Christmas in Portsmouth. Thank you Seacoast Mazda http://www.seacoastmazda.com/ and http://www.portsmouthchamber.org/vintagechristmas.cfm

Before the parade, I had the chance to congratulate a few members of the award winning Sanford High School Band...they have been selected to march in the Inauguration Parade on January 20th at the U.S. Capitol!

Holidazzle in Durham

A favorite moment from the UNH Annual Holidazzle Party at the Whittemore Center. I had fun volunteering with Chantel McCabe, Miss Deerfield Fair 2009 http://www.missdeerfieldfair.org/ helping children sign holiday cards to send to military bases overseas. http://www.unh.edu/holidayparty/index.html

Parade News

This past Sunday I was invited to march in the Dover Holiday Parade with my little sister queens, Aimee and Shawna! Together we walked the streets of Dover wishing a Merry Christmas to the citizens of Dover and Strafford County, who have been so suportive of us! A big thank you to the producers of the parade Bill Dube Ford-Toyota-Scion-Hyundai, Centrix Bank, Empire Beauty School, Holy Rosary Credit Union, Measured Progress, Northeast Credit Union and Relyco. And great job to the Dover Lodge of Elks for organzing such a great event!

Due to some technical camera problems I cannot upload pictures but they will be coming soon!
