DOVER — Miss America Talent Winner Samantha Russo, the reigning Miss New Hampshire 2013, will visit the Garrison City on December 27 at 7pm for a special performance at the Orchard Street Chop Shop’s Top of the Chop in Downtown Dover.

Russo lives in Nashua and graduated from Emerson College. She has performed for the Red Sox, NASCAR, FisherCats, Manchester Monarchs and was the only vocalist to win a Preliminary Talent Award at the Miss America Competition in Atlantic City.

The Miss Strafford County royalty spent a beautiful day in Downtown Dover celebrating the 29th Annual Apple Harvest Day with WOKQ, WTSN, Z107, Federal Savings Bank, New Hampshire Children's Museum, Dover Chamber of Commerce, Kennebunk Savings Bank, and volunteering with the Dover Children's Home.  There are lots of photos of our adventures at https://www.facebook.com/MissStraffordCounty

Miss Strafford County and Miss University 2014

On Sunday, Miss America 2014 was crowned LIVE on ABC http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/miss-america-crowned-sunday-night-20261026.

On Tuesday, a new Miss Strafford County and Miss University 2014 will be crowned beginning their journey to the Miss New Hampshire Scholarship Competition.

The details:

VENUE:  Murkland Hall

SHOWTIME:  7:30pm

TICKETS:  Available at the Door $10 General Admission/$5 with UNH Student ID

TIMING:  Arrive at 5:00p dressed for Interview
After Interview, there will be Talent Run Throughs and Rehearsal
Pizza Dinner will be provided

PACKING LIST:

• A copy of your Birth Certificate and Student ID
• Interview Outfit (You will also wear your Interview Outfit for Opening Number Introductions and OnStage Question)
• Talent Outfit
• Evening Gown and Jewelry
• Swimsuit and Shoes
• Hair and Make-up
• Homework plus any special snacks or supplies you might need
• Once you check-in at 5p you will stay through the end of the Competition (approximately 9:30p)

Thank you to our talented team of celebrity supermodels and friends at the Fox Run Mall Macy's in Newington, NH.  We were honored to participate in our seventh Macy's Shop for a Cause to help raise $3.8 million dollars for the March of Dimes and local charities.

The four points of the Miss America crown are Scholarship, Service, Style and Success.  Caroline and Skylar represent these ideals beautifully, serving everyone (young and old) through their work with the Red Cross redcross.org//nh/concord, jdrf.org, diabetes.org, peasegreeters.org and childrensmiraclenetworkhospitals.org.  They are powerful role models in the community, dedicated to service throughout Strafford County and around the world.

Margaritas will host a Noche Mexicana Fundraiser and donate 15% of pre-taxed food and beverage sales from participating families, friends and supporters to the Miss Strafford County Scholarship Program. Pancake Night

Miss America local titleholders served at IHOP locations across the nation hoping to raise $3 million dollars for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.  Here in New Hampshire, all funds are directed to Children's Hospital Boston.  To learn more visit http://www.ihoppancakeday.com/.
